Feed the roots

Tree Fertilization in Fulshear & Katy, TX

Trees in yards don't get the nutrients they would in a forest. The right fertilizer, at the right time, helps them grow stronger and fight off stress.

Lawn fertilizer is made for grass, not trees — and our heavy clay and alkaline soils lock up nutrients trees need. Stressed trees, trees after construction, and newly planted trees especially benefit from a proper tree fertilization program.

We start by looking at the tree and the soil, then choose the right product and method for what the tree actually needs.

What we do

Deep root fertilization

Nutrients placed in the root zone where trees can use them — not on the lawn surface.

Trunk injection

Micronutrients like iron delivered directly into the tree, great for chlorosis.

New tree care

Establishment programs for newly planted trees.

Mulching

Proper mulch rings that hold moisture and build healthy soil (no volcanoes).

When should trees be fertilized in Texas?

Spring and fall are the best windows in our area, when trees are actively growing roots and there's usually enough moisture. Fertilizing a drought-stressed tree in the heat of summer can do more harm than good — water comes first.

Not every tree needs fertilizer. If yours doesn't, we'll say so.

Frequently asked questions

Why are my tree's leaves yellow?

Yellow leaves with green veins usually mean iron or manganese chlorosis, very common in our alkaline soils. Trunk injection or soil treatment can correct it. Yellowing can also be water or root problems — see tree health & diagnosis.

How often should trees be fertilized?

Typically once or twice a year for trees that need it, based on how they respond.

Is it safe for pets and kids?

Deep root and injection methods put the product below ground or inside the tree, not on the surface where people and pets walk.
