Close to the house, over the fence, by the pool
Most trees we remove in Katy have a house, a fence and a pool within reach. We take them apart piece by piece so nothing else gets touched.
Removing a tree in a Katy subdivision is mostly a question of space. Lots are close together, backyards are fenced, and there is often a pool, a patio cover or a neighbor's roof directly underneath. Almost nothing can simply be dropped.
Tree King has done this work for more than 30 years. We climb or use a bucket, lower each section on ropes, and bring a crane when a tree is too big or too dead to dismantle safely any other way. We are based in Pattison, a short drive from Katy.

Oaks planted too close. A live oak a few feet from the foundation eventually pushes on the slab, the driveway and the roof at once. When pruning can no longer manage it, removal is the honest answer.
Bradford pears. They grow fast, form weak forks and split apart, often in the first strong wind after they reach full size.
Pines. Drought-stressed pines are attacked by bark beetles and can die within weeks. A dead pine becomes dangerous to climb quickly, so it should not be left standing long.
Storm-damaged trees. A tree that has lost a major limb or split at a fork may not be worth saving. We will tell you plainly whether it can be made safe.
We remove trees across Katy: Cinco Ranch, Firethorne, Cane Island, Tamarron, Old Katy and the surrounding neighborhoods in Fort Bend, Harris and Waller counties.
We protect lawns, fences and pool decks while we work, haul away all the wood and brush, and can grind the stump on the same visit.
Yes. Most of our Katy removals are in fenced backyards. The tree is taken down in sections and carried out through the gate, or lifted over the house by crane.
Check with your HOA. Many require approval for front-yard trees and some require a replacement. We can help you work out what applies.
It depends on the tree's size, how sound it is, and what is underneath it. We give you a firm price on site before any work starts.
